New piece from BMG Magazine

After having had the pleasure of being interviewed for BMG Magazine this month, I thought I would play one of the pieces from the edition. 'Spring Fever' was written by Andy Wicken and the is available in the magazine. Its a lovely piece - its fairly tricky with some nifty finger work needed up at the tenth fret. Its been an exciting month with lots going on - including my new book 'ukulele school' being released and being the first ever ukulele player to grace the cover of BMG magazine. I have some very exciting news in the pipeline about a new project I am invoved with - but more on that to follow shortly when more details have been finalized.

I had a fantastic time launching my new book 'Ukulele School' at the Music Education Expo at Olympia this week. It was so nice to meet so many enthusiastic ukulele teachers and players. The book went down a storm and we had people queuing up to have a look at it and purchase a copy. If you want to know more about the book and how it can teach ukulele whilst meeting National Curriculum guidelines, then check out this short video. The books sole aim is to make teaching ukulele as easy, fun and succesful as possible - the teachers pack even includes lesson plans and video tutorials. #MusicandDramaEducationExpo #ukuleleschool

3 days to the launch of 'Ukulele School' book - for primary teachers teaching music.

If you are in London on either the 6th or 7th of March then why not call in to Olympia and say hello. I will be on the Kevin Mayhew publishers stand at the Music Education Expo for two days. I'll be playing some ukulele and chatting about my new book 'Ukulele School'. If you are teaching in primary schools this really is the book for you. The teachers pack comes with a CD rom of 12 videos demonstrating how to teach the ukulele. It also comes with 12 lesson plans that go through the steps to teaching the ukulele, right from the beginning. It follows the national curriculum closely allowing you to focus on teaching the right things. In the meantime, here is a new video of me playing so
