Paul Mansell Student Tenor Ukulele.

In 2024 I collaborated with one of the worlds best and most renowned ukulele builders, Pete Howlett, to produce a limited edition Paul Mansell Student Tenor Ukulele, which is now available to purchase.   Pete is recognised throughout the ukulele world as one of the best builders - with over 30 years experience.  Pete has built ukuleles for The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Warren Buffett, Gareth Malone and many more top players.

There will only ever be 16 of these amazing ukuleles built.  They are all tenor size and are made of 500 year old Mahogany.  I recently gave the ukulele its British debut in when performing in front of 900 people at the Ukulele Festival of GB.

Howlett/Lipson Paul Mansell Baritone Ukulele.

As of 2026 Pete Howlett has teamed up with Daniel Lipson of Lipson guitars, to build the incrdible Lipson/Howlett Paul Mansell Baritone Ukulele.  This amazing baritone ukulele is a collaboration between Pete, using his 40 years of experience as one of the worlds top ukulele builders and his new collaborator Dan. Dan started making guitars in 2013, Since then his process has evolved significantly but he still spends an average of 200 hours on each instrument - they are truly a labour of love.

In 2018 Dan  was fortunate to meet Pete Howlett, legendary Master Luthier and World renowned ukulele maker. Over the past 7 years Pete has taken Dan under his wing, mentoring and guiding him and over the years they have spent several months at his workshop in Talysarn, North Wales assisting him with his ukulele making. Training under him Dan is proud to have worked on both his acoustic instruments and on many of the ‘Revelator’ models that have left his workshop.  More details can be found at www.lipsonukuleles.com

Below are some samples of both the tenor and baritone ukulele.

Below are some pictures of the ukulele and an article which recently appeared in Uke Magazine which explains all about this amazing ukulele.    Many thanks to Graham Hill for the pictures of me performing at The Ukulele Festival of GB.
